Terms of Use

These Terms explain the rules for using StudyWalls, a digital sticky-note study wall app for class notes, definitions, formulas, examples, and assignments.

Agreement to these Terms

By using StudyWalls, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What StudyWalls does

StudyWalls lets users create digital sticky-note walls, organize notes by section, save walls locally or in the cloud when signed in, share walls when chosen, and export walls as PDF or PNG files for class assignment submission.

Accounts and sign-in

Some features work without signing in. Cloud saving, cross-device access, private wall lists, and collaboration require Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for using the app only through accounts you are allowed to use.

Student and school use

Students should use StudyWalls for appropriate schoolwork and study activities. Children under 13 should use StudyWalls only with permission from a parent, guardian, teacher, or school as required by applicable law. Teachers and schools are responsible for deciding whether StudyWalls is appropriate for their students and policies.

User content

You keep ownership of the notes, text, examples, wall titles, and other content you add to StudyWalls. By using the app, you give StudyWalls permission to store, process, display, export, and share your content only as needed to operate the app and provide the features you choose.

Do not add sensitive information

StudyWalls is for study notes and class assignment work. Do not add passwords, Social Security numbers, private medical information, grades, discipline records, financial information, or other sensitive personal information to sticky notes.

Sharing and collaboration

Walls are private by default. If you choose to enable sharing, copy a share link, or add a collaborator, other people may be able to view or edit the wall depending on the setting. Only share walls with people who should have access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse StudyWalls. This means you may not:

• Upload illegal, harmful, abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content.
• Violate another person's privacy or intellectual property rights.
• Try to access another user's private wall without permission.
• Interfere with the app, security rules, hosting, databases, or authentication systems.
• Use StudyWalls to spam, scam, impersonate others, or distribute malware.

Exports and submissions

StudyWalls can export walls as PDF or PNG files. You are responsible for checking the exported file before submitting it to Canvas, Google Classroom, email, or another school platform.

Templates

Templates are provided as starter study material and examples. They may contain simplified explanations and may not match every teacher's instructions. Always follow your class requirements.

Changes to the app

StudyWalls may add, remove, or change features over time. The app may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates, outages, or technical issues.

Suspension or removal

StudyWalls may remove content, disable sharing, limit access, or suspend accounts if needed to protect users, comply with law, fix security problems, or respond to misuse.

No professional advice

StudyWalls is an educational productivity tool. It does not provide legal, academic, tutoring, grading, or professional advice. Users are responsible for verifying their own work.

Disclaimer

StudyWalls is provided "as is" and "as available." StudyWalls does not promise that the app will always be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or accepted by every school platform.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, StudyWalls is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost work, lost profits, or missed assignments resulting from use of the app.

Changes to these Terms

StudyWalls may update these Terms as the product changes. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
